“Never-before-seen Elvis tour scenes” — as long as you’ve never seen Elvis On Tour

I have a question for those behind Warner Home Video, Elvis Presley Enterprises, and Fathom Events: Where exactly was the “never-before-seen Elvis tour footage” you have been advertising for the July 29 showing of Elvis On Tour: 75th Anniversary Celebration?

I wonder what the excuse will be this time?

Anyway, I’ll have a review of the theatrical event, which featured the 2010 “Cruel Edit” of Elvis On Tour, coming in an hour or two. . . . Stick around for the fun.

    • The footage was specifically advertised as “Elvis” scenes, though – so new interviews with Jerry Schilling, Priscilla Presley, and Andrew Solt don’t count. All of the Elvis scenes shown during the behind-the-scenes look were originally shown in Elvis On Tour or other officially released productions.

  1. this is what the extra footage was the behind the scenes look of Elvis on tour and the part where they show the film strips and them puting it together.

    • Again, those things were not “never-before-seen Elvis tour footage” or “never-before-seen Elvis tour scenes” as they have been advertising for weeks.

    • Perhaps, Danny.

After all, Warner Brothers is advertising on their ElvisTheMovies.com that the Elvis On Tour Blu-rays and DVDs contain the songs “Teddy Bear,” “Hound Dog,” “All Shook Up,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” and “Are You Lonesome Tonight.” Those were not part of the original movie (and, incidentally, nor were they shown tonight).

And Warner Brothers would never mislead us about the content of their Blu-rays and DVDs, right?

Just like they would never mislead us about the July 29 theatrical presentation . . . oh wait . . . .
